Brisbane is one of the most beautiful cities in Australia to visit. There are several things to do in Brisbane and sights to see. And these can be done inexpensively.
Brisbane is a city where you need to have a vehicle to really get around and see the amazing things that the city, and its suburbs have to offer.
In this post, we will share some of the cool, but cheap things that you can experience whilst visiting Brisbane.
Visit the free public parks in Brisbane.
Brisbane is spoilt for choice with the amount of public parks that’s on offer. You have a few that are by the river and that have amazing views of the city.
You can choose to head over to Southbank, Roma Street Parklands, or New Farm Park.
The great thing about these parks are that they are open to the public and they have green areas, where you are allowed to consume alcohol. So it’s great for a picnic out with friends.
For those people travelling in a campervan, it’s an easy place to stop off, have something to eat in the park whilst overlooking amazing views of the city or of the river.
Additionally, there are public barbecue areas. At New Farm Park, there are several that overlook the river.
At New Farm Park, there’s also a basketball court that can be used for free. And you can always go to the public library and enjoy reading a book.
The Powerhouse is also next to the park and you will find many people doing their runs. On some mornings, they will have the open farmers markets on the weekends. And inside the Powerhouse, they have some occasional free events.
